Personal Information

Dr. Ing. Reinhard Pittschellis studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he also received his Ph.D. in automation technology. From 1998 to 2001 he worked on the development of SMD placement machines for Siemens AG in Munich. In 2002 he joined Festo Didactic as Head of Global R&D and Product Management. He published several papers about technical education and is member of the Platform Industry 4.0 in Germany, which advises the federal government and industry on Industry 4.0.

He is currently Head of Product Unit New Ventures (since 2019) and the head of Head of Electrical Engineering Europe (since 2023) in Festo Didactic. Since 2024, he has a teaching assignment at the University of Applied Science in Karlsruhe.
